Toddler Classroom

In our toddler room, the children actually develop the curriculum. Every experience and every minute in the day are a part of the toddler curriculum. Diapering, feeding, washing, and comforting are elements of the curriculum, as are singing, playing, watching, and moving. While all children develop in similar ways, each is unique. Children are natural learners.

Born learners, they maintain the drive to learn.  Moreover, they engage energetically in activities which contribute to their development.  That being said, a toddler curriculum cannot be fit into a kit.  Some experiences are planned and some are spontaneous.  Some experiences are child-initiated and some teacher.  Each new skill achieved or concept developed provides a foundation for the child’s continuing development.  The knowledge teachers have enables them to recognize and reinforce appropriate experiences for each child.
